More about me!

I'm a Baltimore native and a graduate of Towson University where I studied journalism and women's and gender studies. I became a freelance journalist during my senior year, writing entertaiment stories and cultural criticism for Glamour, The Establishment, Bitch Media, Rewire, The Film Experience, and more. I continued freelancing part-time for three years, recapping television shows for Vulture and writing a weekly column at The Daily Beast. During that time, I contributed to a book of essays about the Prime miniseries The Underground Railroad. I also worked as a transcriber and proofreader for the transcription company Verb8tm.

In 2021, I was hired by The Daily Beast as an entertainment reporter where I contributed reviews, features, blogs, recaps, and interviews, in addition following celebrity scandals and reporting industry news. I also covered festivals and events , including Tribeca Film Festival, New York Film Festival, BravoCon, and several concerts. My interview with filmmaker Robert Townsend for the Criterion release of Hollywood Shuffle was nominated for a National Art and Entertainment Award, presented by the Los Angeles Press Club in 2023.

In 2024, I became a culture writer for Vox where I began covering film, reality TV, music, and celebrity culture. Now, my beat concerns the role of image, gender, and wellness in our lives, inclduing how beauty standards and soical dynamics are litigated online.
